Field
test in El Paso, Texas - February
2000
The
field test was arranged by
the well-known Speed Measurement
Laboratories on 24 - 26 February
2000 in El Paso, Texas with
the most serious manufacturers
of Laser Jammers and Radar
Detectors as participants.
Blinder
International did turn up
with the BLINDER Laser-jammer.
We were especially curious
to know how well the Blinder
would perform against the
new Kustom Prolaser III laser
gun, which we had heard so
much talking about.
But
as the test results below
show, we had absolutely no
reason to worry...

Preparation
for the test.
The
first job was to get the two
Blinder units mounted in a
favorable position on the
test car.
The
most important points are
to secure that the units are
pointing exactly parallel
to the road surface and also
vertical, 90 degrees, to the
same.
The
second important point is
to mount the two units in
40 to 60 cm distance between
each other. By doing this
you will cover the front area
best when aiming the license
plate and aiming the headlights.

The
Car All participants in the
SML test were white cars.
Our car was Dodge Neon on
which the two Blinder units
were mounted easily into the
front grill.

The
Laser Guns Carl Fors, the
owner of Speed-Labs, had loaded
his van with all brands of
laser guns for this very professional
and comprehensive laser jammer
test.

The
Test Result
The
2000 Speed Measurement Laboratories
test in El Paso, Texas came
up with the proof for Blinder
as the only laser jammer that
meets the customer's requirements:
- Capacity
of jamming all brands of
laser guns
- Jamming
effective as well at short
as at long distance
- Jamming
effective when aiming license
plate or headlights.
- No
exposing of the use of laser
jammers for the operating
police officer as any laser
guns did not show any jamming
code in the display.
A
curious Texas police Officer.

During
the test days we got visited
several times by a Texas police
Officer on his Kawasaki 1000
motor bike.

official test report from

is now available. Copenhagen,

two extracts from the SML
Evaluation Report:
Conclusions.
The Blinder is the most effective
laser countermeasure ever
evaluated by Speed Measurement
Laboratories, Inc. (SML)....
Results.
Representation of Blinder's
performance graphically would
be senseless. It successfully
jammed every laser gun, every
time, in every targeting circumstance,
from every distance. The Blinder
completely jammed laser guns
from the point of targeting
continually to the laser gun's
location....
